The Original Bar
The benchmark yak chew every other bar is measured against. Classic smoked churpi in clearly labeled sizes from small through extra large.
Best for: First-time yak-chew buyers who want the reference chew
Straight answers about The Grip Ring, the same way we’d give them over email.
All yak-chew questionsGrip. Dogs that hold their chew between their paws keep a ring steady much more easily than a straight bar, so they chew longer and lose it less. Same cheese, better handle.
Treat it like any churpi: once any part is small enough to fit fully in the mouth, take it away. Rings wear unevenly, so check the thin points as the session goes on.
For big jaws we still recommend a large bar or the Power Slab. The ring’s cross-section is sized for small and medium dogs, and big paw-holders do fine with a long bar.
Notes on churpi and the herders who make it, plus what we learn about keeping a dog happily busy. A few emails a year, nothing else.
